How are the inserts interchangeable?
All our tanks are equipped with swivel locking mechanisms situated on the inside corners. These firmly fasten the insert into place and can be open and closed with the flick of a wrist. This gives owners the option to change their insert with ease. Changing the theme of your tank takes no more than five minutes and requires no tools. Both standard and fountain inserts are installed in the exact same maner. 

How do the fountain inserts work?
The fountain insert attaches in the exact same way the standard insert does. It has been engineered to make it as simple as possible to install or change. Once locked into place using the swivel locking mechanism it runs on its own. As not all dwellings have equal water pressure there is a valve on the side of the insert giving the user the ability to control the amount of water flow.

How do I adjust the water level?
Unlike many standard toilets which use a float to shut off the water, the inflowing water for our tanks is controlled by a pressure sensitive gauge that is fully adjustable. The user can choose the fill level of their liking by simply turning the control mechanism. Tighten to increase the amount of water and loosen to decrease.

2. Specifications
The dimension of our tanks are 18x8.25x12 inches (46x21x30cm). The tank is 3/8 inches( 1 cm) thick. All GlassToilets tanks are compliant with CSA standards. Our tanks have gone through rigorous testing for quality of construction and durability to ensure consumer safety and satisfaction.

3. Maintenance
Depending on the mineral content of your tap water, you may wish to wipe your tank clean from time to time to maintain perfect clarity. This varies from place to place and is negligible in areas with chlorinated water. If you have colored tap water due to rusty pipes this product may not be for you.

4. Frequently Asked Questions

Will Glass toilets tanks fit my bowl?
Our tanks are compatible with almost all standard two piece toilet assemblies. They are designed with the standard configuration of anchor bolts 5.5 inches (14cm) from center to centre of the anchor holes. If you are unsure that our product will fit with your bowl remove the lid and measure the distance between the two bolts on opposite sides of the flush valve. Our tank will not work with your bowl if your tank and bowl are manufactured as a one piece assembly. If you are still not sure please contact us to determine if our tank will fit your bowl.

What is the water consumption per flush?
Glass toilets come with a fully adjustable ballcock(input plumbing). Unlike the standard bar and float ballcocks, ours can be easily adjusted from 6 litres – 20 litres by simply turning the control valve.

Do GlassToilet tanks come with a warranty?
Each tank comes with a 5 year warranty. This warranty is against manufacturer's defect and does not include misuse or damage caused by the customer. The inserts have a 2 year warranty with the same restrictions as the tank. All plumbing parts come with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty.

Can I purchase a GlassToilet through a local retailer?
Currently Glass toilets can only be ordered online, by mail, or by telephone order. Selling directly to the consumer, we reduce our overhead, cut out the middle men, and pass on the savings to our customers. All are units are shipped by UPS, DHL or Canada Post and are shipped within a week of order.

What if I purchase a GT tank but do not live in Canada?
We have customers all over the world and can ship anywhere. If you live within the USA we will provide you with a NAFTA certificate or Origin exempting you from duties and taxes. In other words, our order price is the final price. If you live outside of North America duties and taxes may be applicable.

Wont my tank stain from the water?
It is unlikely that your tank will stain as it is the same clean water that comes from your tap, however if you live in an older home rusty pipes may cause discoloration after extended use. We recommend using a mild dish soap and soft cloth or sponge every 6-12 months to remove scum line.

What if I scratch or burn my tank?
Our tanks are made from a hybrid acrylic which is very resistant to scratches and burns. Although more resitant than other materials acrylic will still mark if scratched or burned. We recommend avoiding contact with sharp objects or extreme temperature. Minor scratches or burns can be buffed out using out GT buff solution found on our accesories page. Deeper scratched can be buffed but may still be visible.

Why acrylic and not glass?
Unlike glass, acrylic is shatter proof, scratch resistant, can be buffed out, it is half the weight of glass, has better angled transparency and can be easily shaped, moulded and cut.


5. Packaging, Shipping and Duties
Unless by special request we ship by UPS ground within North America. Shipping charges for the tank are 35.00USD including insurance. Tanks are shipped within a week of payment confirmation. Clients are advised via email once the tank has been sent. GlassToilets is not responsible for any duties or taxes incurred by clients. All units shipped within North America are sent with a NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) certificate of origin for duty-free status within the USA and Mexico. Canadian customers will be charged GST of 6% and customers within the province of Quebec will be charged both GST 6% and QST 8%.
